It’s the problem of every year that in the time of October or November whenever the Farmers of Punjab & Haryana burn extra Straws (Crop Burning) of food Grains in their field because of which the Smoke travel through Air and pollute many states especially New Delhi because Delhi is the nearest state to Punjab & Haryana. Along with this Pollution of Burned fireworks on the occasion of Diwali Festival adds the pollution more and then the Quality of Air got worse on day by day. This situation is continuously occurring from past 4-5 years but govt of India is not able to tackle with the problem even they know that this will happen every year. This condition is Severe now. Today dated 15th November 2020 is the day when this situation has increased and the AQI (Air quality Index) increased up to 600 which is really a dangerous situation.
Increased pollution in Delhi has covered the city with blanket of dust. Visibility is so decreased.
What is the Reason of Decreasing AQI level in Delhi Every Year? 1. Smoke after burning of remaining Crop (Straw) in fields of Punjab & Haryana. The wind flows from West to east these is because of which the Wind took all the smoke towards Delhi because of which Delhi always filled with Smoke like Pollution Particles.
2. Smoke of Burning of Fireworks on the Occasion of Diwali. Even after the Ban of Fireworks, people purchase illegally from 3rd Parties or Remaining of previous year. Then after the Diwali night, the level of AQI decreases rapidly which remains till many weeks.
3. Not a proper management system by Government to tackle with smoke issue. AAP government introduced the chemical to decompose the crop without burning them & also taken some steps like Introduction of New Mobile Application for awareness, Switching off of Vehicles on Traffic lights etc. Delhi Government has taken steps to reduce the effect but state Govt are not taking any strong steps to reduce the same
4. Lack of Technology & resources to decompose the Crop (Straw) in the field because of which farmers need to burn them which increase the level of pollution
5. Winter Season: Winters are coming. The Tiny water particles on Air in the form of Fog spread all around. When these Smoke particles stock with fog, it remains in the Air and pollute the surrounded environment
6. Infrastructure & Construction: Dust particles of from Construction sites also adds the pollution in the Air
As per the news, the AQI of New Delhi has been decreased rapidly on 15th November 2020 which goes up to 478 (the standard AQI level should be between 50 – 100 and up to 200 AQI people can adjust but after that level it becomes dangerous.
