Our words are few but ideas value the most. Sometimes even a small injury on the face of Government can leave a deep impression for future changes & development. At the same time, We are sharing our opinions on the topic "Foreign Policy is a tool for our development".
What is the meaning of Foreign Policy?
A country's foreign policy, which is also called foreign relations or foreign affairs policy, to protect national interests, maintain its international relations, achieve goals at the foreign level and develop international policies for the country. related to the level of work. Its main goal is to make good relations with other countries and get help and help in the country's development.
India's foreign policy is a new gift for emerging India.
Seeing the way, the Prime Minister of India is reconciling with foreign countries, it seems that the seed sprouting now will provide the great fruit of success in future
After the failure of foreign policies after 1947, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started playing his role in maintaining foreign policies and foreign relations with many countries in the early days itself. With slogans like "Come and Make in India", he has attracted/invited foreign countries to do business in India.
The question must have come to many people's minds that "what will be the benefit of this step to the common people of India"? Will this step prove helpful in the development of India?
What are the benefits of Sound Foreign Policy?
1. Investment of Foreign companies in India will increase the flow and volume of foreign exchange in India, which will help us in doing business with foreign countries. When foreign companies start their business in India, they will provide their currency in exchange for our currency which will help us to do business with other countries later. This will also benefit the foreign policy which will encourage growth. With the arrival of other countries, there will be development in India as well as we will also be able to do business in other countries.
Roads will be developed which will connect every small place with the city.
It will be possible to build factories and manufacture new consumer goods, which will end problems like unemployment
More production of goods will lead to a fall in the selling price, which will make the goods available to the consumers at cheaper rates.
With the construction of new buildings, everyone's desire to have their own home will be fulfilled. And so on.
2. New employment opportunities will open. The problem of unemployment will end and Indian youth will not need to go abroad for employment.
Development in foreign policy will increase the opportunities in the employment sector. People will no longer have to go outside the country for employment. With the help of foreign trade and foreign cooperation, now people can show a sample of their ability in their own country. It is said that 30% of America's scientists are Indians. If there will good changes in foreign policy, then our scientists can do well in our own country.
The CEO of Microsoft and the Chairperson of companies like Google today is an Indian who is an example of foreign policy success. If our relations with other countries were not good, perhaps we would not have reached this point today. Today many of our Indians are working abroad and playing their role in the development of our country which encourages foreign policy success.
3. Poverty will be less because - employment will be generated from foreign investment, due to which more and more people will get work. As a result, there will be more income, which will end the problem of poverty. Even today many people of India are living below the poverty line, which shows the condition of poverty in India. Reforms in foreign policy will provide employment to people, which will be a source of income.
4. Gross Domestic Product of India will increase. An increase in production within the country will increase the number of domestic goods in the country which will reduce imports. By manufacturing indigenous goods within the country, our self-reliance towards other countries will end because now we will be able to make the same products ourselves. As a result, there will be an increase in exports, which will take the development of the country to new heights.
5. Foreign investment will increase the quality of education in the country. The Foreign Minister of India goes abroad, observes the education system there. Because of the quality of education abroad, the new education system in India has been taken from abroad. As a result of this, the condition of education in India is very good. Many promising students study in India and go abroad. Nowadays the Hindi language is also taught abroad and foreign companies bring employment opportunities to India. All these things show the achievement and success of the foreign policy of education in India.
6. The introduction of foreign technology will increase the domestic level of production. More production will reduce the price so that people will get the option of consuming more at less price. Technology is something that keeps on changing every moment. To keep up with the changing technology, it is necessary to take the help of foreign technology, so with effective foreign policy, India can increase the pace of development by sharing its technology with foreign countries and using foreign technology. Technology plays an important role in every field whether it is in the field of treatment or in the construction sector. Nowadays technology is changing at a very fast pace in the field of services, so it is necessary for a foreign policy that we walk in harmony with other countries, only then the development of the country is possible.
7. Nowadays people's lives are being affected due to many diseases. The life expectancy rate is decreasing. The death rate is increasing tremendously due to the lack of good treatment services. Diseases like heart attack are becoming a part of our life, which is very important to prevent and eliminate. By making good reforms in foreign policy through which we can exchange new methods of treatment.
Many examples show the achievement of foreign policies in the field of treatment in India. Example:- Eman Ahmed from Egypt.
People from abroad come to India for treatment because the process of treatment in India is simple and economically cheap - which attracts people to our country.
This work will not be done in one day, but it is the result of a long process of many foreign policies as well as education, technology, investment, etc., which shows the development and progress in our country.
8. Similarly there are many other areas where India's foreign policy has proved successful to some extent.
Eg:- In the field of nuclear power.
In providing food to the people at the right price and maintaining food security in the food department.
In trying to help in times of disaster.
In promotion of Hindi language at foreign level.
In the field of credit assistance in the development of farmers and development of new farming methods.
To provide facilities to the people at affordable prices.
in the field of improving the standard of living of the people.
In the development of village and development of urbanization.
In touching heights in space and the celestial sphere.
In the field of helping Indians living in other countries in times of problems.
Financial institutions such as banks, in the field of insurance.
In providing many facilities of studies to the students and providing facilities like scholarships.
And in many other areas, the country made the highest use of foreign policy and adopted development.
Late Smt. Sushma Swaraj - External Affairs Minister of India who had made many efforts in running Indian foreign policies smoothly.
Foreign policies have been made and modified numerous times in India, but some such reasons show the mistakes & errors of the policies. For example:-
One, many of India's foreign policies are derived from the policies of the colonial period. So there is a lack of creativity in it. The biggest drawback is seen between India and Pakistan for which no example is needed. If India's foreign policies had been effective at the time of independence, then perhaps there would not have been so many estrangements between India and Pakistan today.
On the other hand, the same is the case with Nepal and China. If India had kept its foreign relations with Nepal and China good, then perhaps a war-like situation would not have arisen today. Today India is getting crushed between its own neighbors. When we do not have good relations with our own neighbors, then development cannot be imagined by sharing foreign policies with other countries.
We give examples of good relations with Russia and America but on the other, we are fighting with Pakistan and China.
Why is this happening: - Because
1. We don't want to bow down.
Since childhood, we were taught that respect everyone, be humble, even if we touch the sky, keeps our feet on the earth. But what happened now?
We just keep looking to let down each other. Today Pakistan did this, today China did this and don't know what.
2. Politics
Nowadays politics has entered into everything in such a way that the profit is less and the loss is getting more.
For example:- If a political party makes a plan for development, then even if the plan is good, the rest of the opposition party opposes it without thinking about its goodness towards normal public
3. Show off
People in India have a habit of boasting. Everyone would go on saying that our foreign policy is like this & like that. Our foreign policy is the same, but the reality is known only when someone openly challenges that policy. When someone else suffers the brunt of the lack of that policy.
4. We don't know how to learn from the mistake
Let's assume that there has been a mistake in some foreign policy. now what?
Instead of correcting them, we tend to humiliate others and find faults.
If we had corrected those mistakes before counting the mistakes of others, then today our relations with other countries would be running smoothly.
5. Lack of novelty
Even today, by turning the pages of the constitution, we are still following many foreign policies given by the British.
In between, the founder of Apple company said that "Indians lack creativity"
Maybe they saw something in which we were inferior.
Looking at the problems of today, it is better to formulate a new foreign policy and not follow the policy made 60 years ago.
There are other similar drawbacks. If gradually all the shortcomings are removed, then we can implement and run the new foreign policy more smoothly.
All that is needed is an initiative.
You will bear the pain of bites to reach the rose, only then you will get the experience of fragrance and beauty in the end.
Today many countries, being smaller in size than India, are far ahead of India. There are many foreign countries like Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, etc., who have taken the economic wealth of their country to the sky based on their foreign policy. These countries provide education, employment opportunities to many foreign nationals, that too with good income.
The biggest weakness of our foreign policies is that we are only competing to get ahead of other countries. Foreign policies would prove to be more beneficial as the Prime Minister had said "Sabka Saath - Sabka Vikas" if this same thing is implemented globally.
